We invite you to join us for the 8th annual Counselor Connections Workshop!
This two day educational opportunity will take place November 4th and 5th on the SDSU campus in beautiful Brookings, SD. Be a part of South Dakota's only workshop for school counselors, by school counselors.
We hope to see you there!
We hope that you are all enjoying your summer!
July first marked the start of a new fiscal year for both SDSCA as well as SDCA. If you have not yet renewed your membership, there's no time like today! Simply visit SDCA's website (by clicking here) and choose the "MEMBERSHIP" tab to renew any of your memberships.
We also invite you to consider joining your local SDCA chapter. This is a great way to connect with not only other school counselors in your area, but mental health counselors as well. It's a fantastic way to get to know other professionals and build your list of referral information for the coming school year. You may also want to consider joining the South Dakota Native American Counselors Association (formerly the SD Indian Counselors Association). This group has been reinvigorated and is perfect for counselors who work with Native American clients or students.
SDSCA looks forward to working with you for another amazing year!
We hope that you enjoy the final newsletter of the school year! This issue has information on award winners, next year's board, and plenty of upcoming events.
Thank you for being a part of SDSCA this year and we hope that you have a wonderful summer!
As a reminder, membership in both SDSCA and SDCA expire June 30th, so please don't forget to renew and join us for the 2016-2017 year.
Please take a few minutes to read the latest issue of SDSCA News. This newsletter is the result of a partnership between SDSCA and ASCA.
Topics include diversity in our school as well as college and career information.
